To book, please email or phone Stuart Delves. Email stuart@dark-angels.org.uk Tel 0131 445 5860.

A deposit of 50% of the course fee is required to secure your place on all Dark Angels courses and places will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We expect all places to be filled, so early booking is advised.

You will be sent an invoice as soon as you book.  We prefer payment by internet bank transfer. Account details and an address for cheque payments are shown on the invoice.

Your balance (+ single room supplement if allocated) is due not later than 30 days before the start date of the course.  This should be sent without waiting for a reminder from us. If we do not receive it when due, we reserve the right to offer the place to someone else.

Cancellations

Cancellations will be accepted up to 30 days before the start date of any course, but your deposit will be returned less a £150 + VAT administration fee. If a place is cancelled after this time, the deposit becomes non-returnable. We will do our best to find someone else to take your place. If we succeed, the balance of your fee will be returned. If we fail, we reserve the right to the full fee. We do not provide cancellation insurance, but advise those booking places to take out their own insurance.

Writing

By attending the course you agree that any original writing you produce on the course may be placed on a web page of writing from that course.

Conditions

Neither we, the organisers, nor the owners of any venues can accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense sustained by students as a result of any event or circumstance whether arising from natural cause, human agency, or otherwise beyond our control. The organisers and venue owners reserve the right to refuse a place and to exclude from a course any student who, in their opinion, behaves in an abusive or disruptive manner. No refund will be given if an exclusion is made for this reason.

TRAVEL

Duncton Mill

From Heathrow: the easiest way is to take the coach/bus from Heathrow to Gatwick and then by train to Pulborough. By car:-Follow M25 West then M25 South and go round to Junction 10. Take the A3 South: Guildford. On the A3 about 5 miles south of Guildford bear off left following the signs for the A283: Milford & Petworth. Then from Petworth follow directions below:-

From Gatwick: take M23 south to Junction 11. Follow the A264 to Horsham. By-passing Horsham then take the A24 south, direction Worthing for about 7 miles. Turn right on to the A272 to Billingshurst and Petworth then follow the directions below:-

From Petworth: take the A285 direction Chichester and continue for about 3 miles to and through the village of Duncton. Pass Seaford College on your right and at the foot of the Downs take the left hand turn. This is the road to Sutton, but is not signed from this direction. Then take the first turning left, ("Bridleway Only") steeply down to Duncton Mill.

From Chichester: from the Chichester by-pass (A27) direction Arundel and Brighton take the first slip road A285 to Petworth. Follow the road up into the Downs for about 9 miles. The road descends steeply down the tree lined Duncton Hill. At the foot of the hill, take the turning right to Sutton (this sign is difficult to see). Almost immediately there is a turning left marked as "Bridleway Only." Follow the road down steeply into Duncton Mill.

From Billingshurst, Pulborough, Storrington or Arundel: it's easy to get lost in the back lanes! Best to go to Petworth and follow directions from there.

By train From London, Chichester or Gatwick: take the London Victoria Line (which passes through Gatwick airport). Travel to Pulborough and take a taxi to Duncton Mill. It is best to call the taxi at Pulborough station, MJ Cars, 10 minutes before arriving 01903 745414 or 01798 874321 / 874007. They will charge you £15.00. If you telephone our local friendly taxi driver 24 hours in advance, on 01798 869257 and book him, he will bring you to Duncton Mill at £10.00 for the carload (4 people).

Finca El Tornero De Abajo

We recommend the Ryanair flight from London Stansted to Seville, departure 07.10, arriving 10.50 - an early start but it means you'll be at Finca el Tornero de Abajo by lunchtime, in time for a swim and a siesta before the welcome and introduction on the Friday evening.

If you travel on this flight there will be a free transfer from Seville airport to Aracena and back again.  On the return leg on Tuesday, Ryanair departs Seville at 21.15.  If you come on any other flight you will have to make your own way there.

If you plan to travel independently, please contact us for directions.

Lumb Bank

Hebden Bridge is on the main Manchester Victoria to Leeds line with trains from both cities at regular intervals. You can get the E Bridger bus (Blackshawhead) to the top of the lane to Lumb Bank from the railway station (tell the driver where you are going) or the 591 from Halifax or Hebden Bridge to Heptonstall village.

You can arrange for a taxi to meet you at the station by calling Valley Taxis on 01422 844070 / 844781.  We suggest you aim to arrive by 6.00pm at the latest on the Monday evening.  We will put you all in touch with each other  before the course starts so you can share driving or find each other at the rail station and share cabs.

There is no car parking at Lumb Bank (except for disabled visitors): if necessary, cars may be driven down to unload luggage, but must be parked at the top of the steep access lane.

From Halifax direction:Follow A646 through Hebden Bridge. Follow signs for “Heptonstall via turning circle”. Making use of the turning circle to double back, take the left at the traffic lights up the steep hill and bear left to Heptonstall. Go through the village, over the cobblestones past the post office, two pubs and a school. Once out of the village look for two benches on your left, just after the brow of the hill. Here you will find a tarmac lane to Lumb Bank sign-posted Lumb Bank/Bridleway. Go down this lane past one farmhouse until the tarmac ends. Follow the tarmac which swings sharply round to the left. The lane down to Lumb Bank is narrow and steep so please take care.

From Todmorden direction: After the sign that tells you that you are entering Hebden Bridge but before the town proper, take a left by the Fox and Goose pub sign-posted Heptonstall and then follow the directions above.

Please do not use Sat Nav, TomTom or any internet route-planner for this last stage of the journey or you will end up on the wrong side of the valley and may well arrive at the centre late, frustrated and stressed.

Moniack Mhor

Moniack Mhor is fourteen miles from Inverness, which has mainline rail and coach stations and an airport, which includes direct links to Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton. A taxi ride from the airport is about forty minutes, half-an-hour from the railway station.

Departure is any time that suits you on Saturday (bearing in mind that Friday night can run quite late!).  Once we know your arrival times on the Monday we will circulate them so you can find each other at the airport or rail station and share cabs.  We can book cabs in advance, on request.

Please contact us for directions to Moniack Mhor by road.

Please note that the costs of travel to Dark Angels courses are not included in the course fees.
